Producing theatre in the 21st century: As performing arts emerges from over a year of quarantine, there are huge challenges ahead, including the rise of Netflix, an audience eager for experiences on-demand, shifting demographics, and new paradigms in leadership. Matt Chapuran, Executive Director of the Lyric Stage Company, will share how Boston's oldest resident company stays young.

Matt Chapuran was the Managing Director of the Lyric Stage before becoming its Executive Director on October 1, 2019. Previously, he was the managing director of the Nora Theatre Company and the Greater Boston Stage Company, and raised institutional funds for the Huntington Theatre Company. His career includes seven years in affordable housing, with Boston Capital and The Community Builders. His short plays have been produced as a part of the Boston Theatre Marathon and Mill6 Theatre's The T Plays, and he has co-written two horror musicals for ImprovBoston.
