Dr. Tanyss Munro has spent her life, with her husband, best-selling author Gem Munro, to creating a world worthy of children and youth around the world. The Munros founded Amarok Society in 2006. For their work, they were recipients of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
As director of Canadian education systems with troubled native communities in the remote north, her work with the youth catalyzed remarkable change. From there she became a senior advisor to Reginal Tribal governments, to Federal Ministers, and a director of Good Governance to governments around the world through the Commonwealth of Learning.
