Nick Rizzo grew up in Kingston, MA, before attending Boston College High School in Dorchester. From BC High he moved on to Harvard College, where he majored in social anthropology. During his time at Harvard, Nick took a year off to do volunteer work in Rwanda and Uganda. He spent six months working with the American Refugee Committee on a comprehensive HIV program in two Rwandan refugee camps, followed by three months teaching English in an orphanage in northern Uganda.

Nick was awarded a Michael C. Rockefeller Fellowship from Harvard upon graduation, with which he will spend the upcoming year in northwestern India. He plans to continue his involvement with Rotary while in India by working on the PolioPlus program. As our Ambassadorial Scholar, Nick plans to pursue a degree in International Relations in Singapore or France.
